Now that I have some time to sit and knit, I’ve made some real progress on Tulips. I have finished the back (at last) and started on a sleeve. The directions have you knit the sleeves from the top down and then sew them to the body, but I decided to pick up the stitches [...]
Look what I made!
I’m so thrilled with my skirt. It’s the first item of clothing I’ve sewn since, I think, early 2001. It’s pretty basic, A-line with a drawstring, and the pocket is a little messy, but I like it. I even zig-zagged the seams and did double fold hems instead of taking short cuts [...]
I love finishing a lace project. I love seeing it all bumpy and lumpy before it is blocked. I even love obsessively pinning it out and looking at the beautiful lines of stretched out lace. Mommes Lysedug is done. I finished binding it off late last night and gave it a short bath and pinned [...]
