A New Cardigan

Blocking My Cardigan

I want to apologize first for the quality of my pictures. I’m camera-less right now and relying on my phone which doesn’t have the best camera in the world.

That said, I finished my Morrison Cardigan (from the Fall or Winter, can’t remember, 2011 Knitscene). This is knit in KnitPicks City Tweed worsted in Tahitian Pearl and Plum on size 8 needles. I finished all the knitting last weekend and blocked it this week, it’s been so cool and damp that it took two days to dry and it stunk. This is some smelly wool when it’s wet but it dries so soft.Me In My Morrison Cardigan

I did all the seaming on Wednesday and wore it to school yesterday and I love it. It’s really warm and cozy and soft and it looks really nice. I just wish I had better pictures.

Here I’m wearing: the cardigan, my Habitat hat, a Threadless shirt that says “No Panic and Freak Out”, Avenue straight leg jeans, and ancient Chucks, there twelve or thirteen years old and still holding up just fine.

I’m very happy with this sweater. I almost went up one size and I’m glad I didn’t, the fit is perfect. The only thing I would change is that I might have made the sleeves about an inch longer but I can live with that.

Have a great weekend! Next week I have baby clothes (for one of my mom’s friends) to show off.
