This has been a week for finishing my knitting projects, it seems. The lace saddle tee flew off the needles, even if I did have to knit one sleeve twice (note: when you join shoulders, make sure you don’t have one flipped around 180° or you end up with a twist, doh!). I’m not 100% thrilled with this shirt, not at all. The yarn is really nice, very soft and cool once it’s washed and the shirt itself is cute, but the neckline is a touch low and there’s just something else about it that I can’t quite put my finger on. I was afraid it would be too short, but the length is good, it could be about an inch smaller around. I think it’s bothering me because I’ve gained a few pounds and everything is kind of bothering me right now. And the neck, it’s so wide and deep, it doesn’t look bad, but it bugs me. Eh, I’ll probably wear it anyway and it will look cute with a long sleeved shirt under it this fall.
The details:
- Pattern: Lace Saddle Tee from the Summer 2010 Interweave Knits
- Yarn: KnitPicks Cotlin in Kohlrabi, this took about 1100yds or so
- Needles: US3/2.7mm and US4/3.5mm
- I left out the waist shaping and I should have changed the neck

Tomorrow’s post will be all the stuff I have in progress, a scarf and two embroidery projects. Happy Canada Day, for all of you Canadians!
