New Stuff

Nails

Some of the stuff I’ve ordered over the last few weeks is starting to trickle in.  Today I got my Konad plates and my shirt from Threadless arrived today.  I immediately started polishing my nails so I could play with the Konad stuff and, I have to say, it is so much easier and faster than I thought it would be.  I really need some better white nail polish, though.  So here’s my nails today.  The base is Rimmel 60 Second polish in Green with Envy, two coats.  This is a duo chrome color so it looks different depending on the angle of your nail.  This is really subtle, it goes from a bright blue, like the picture above, to a more green-y aqua.  I used Konad plate m63 with Sally Hanson’s white tip for French manicures, it’s not quite thick enough for Konading, but it worked okay, it just isn’t as bright white as I would have liked.  I think I’ll order some of the Konad special white and black after I get paid.  I’ll probably try this out again with a different Konad design and different colors in a couple days.  You can see all the Konad plates here, I got m60, m63, m69 (look at that little knit pattern on it!), and I think I’ll pick up a couple more when I order the polish.

Now Panic and Freak Out - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

This is the shirt I got.  I ordered the same size (guy’s xl) as my last shirt but this one seems to be a little smaller.  It fits fine, just smaller than I thought it would be.  And it is super soft.  American Apparel makes good shirts, they’re small, but they hold up pretty good and feel amazing.  And their CEO makes my skin crawl.

I’ll keep blogging my new stuff as it comes in.  I haven’t ordered much, I think all that’s left is my ukulele and a pair of boots.  I bought a new dress (that I wore on New Year’s Eve) and I should find my picture of it and post, it’s really cute.

Now, I have stuff I need to do.

Snow!

Snow!

Saturday night and most of Sunday we got some real, actual snow, about four inches of it.  This is a nice powdery dry snow that blew around like crazy and fell sideways.  So, instead of a crafty post, since I don’t have anything to write about, here’s some snow pictures.  I was dumb enough to go out with friends, we went to a bar, then a diner, then over to someone’s house, while it was snowing and I almost didn’t make it home since our city couldn’t clear the roads while it was snowing so heavy.  I really wish I would have had my camera with me then, the snow was beautiful.  The forecast is calling for another six inches Wednesday and I can’t wait, I love snow.
