Today went by fast. Things are looking better outside, the sun came out for a little while and some of the snow has melted, my road is clear now but the driveway is a sheet of ice, and it’s actually above freezing for the first time this week.
I’ve been spending my days knitting on my mom’s scarf (while I do other things, too) and it is growing fast. I’m starting to run a bit low on yarn but I think it will end up a decent length, I’m not going to worry about it anyway. Everything about this scarf makes me so happy. I love the yarn, it’s soft, it’s fairly even, the heathered color is beautiful in a rustic way, I love the pattern and the stitch definition and the softness of the fabric. I wish I could reach out through the computer and let you all feel it.
This afternoon I thought I would try a little experiment. I mixed some superwash wool, Ingeo (it’s fake snow made out of corn) and some sparkle tensil stuff I bought at the craft store (it’s like fake icicycle stuff) on my hackle and corespun it on crochet cotton. The yarn is bumpy and fuzzy and soft but it’s still drying so I’ll take a picture of it next week. the yarn itself my not turn out all the great but the roving is really pretty.
I’ll leave you with a short video of how Sally spends her day. She likes to sit at the window and watch the neighbors or people walk by and she tries really hard not to bark at them.

I’m interested to see how your yarn turns out. I haven’t spun anythign with angelina or that other stuff (firestar? Firesomething…) in it but it has the same kind of look as that.
Love the way the scarf is turning out. Maybe one of these days I’ll be able to actually knit again LOL.
