I love starting new projects.  In fact, I like to start projects more than finish them, which is why I’ve set aside my Hederia socks (they didn’t fit anyway) and started the Icarus Shawl from the new IK.  I’m using more KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Smoke (yep, I still have a ton of it).  This is by far the easiest shawl I’ve knit.  It is constructed pretty much the same as the Flower Basket Shawl and the lace patterns (there are four charts) are all very simple.  This may end up being a shawl that I will actually wear.  I’m all about simplicity in my clothes (I don’t even wear jewelry or carry a purse, usually) and this is not the least bit fussy.  I love the light, delicate look of the sample in the magazine and I hope my is that pretty.

I probably won’t have a chance to blog tomorrow but I’ll try to post an updated picture Thursday!
