Look what I did today! The damn scarf is done! While it is beautiful, it is probably the most repetitive and obnoxious thing I’ve knit yet. I worked on it for months, I just kept putting it down and going to something else because the thought of doing yet another 7-into-5 cluster made me want to bash my head into the nearest hard surface. So I made it my TV knitting. Every time I sat to watch TV, I had to knit on it. It worked and the scarf is gorgeous. I’ll probably never wear it (not much of a lace person, love to knit it, don’t love to wear it) but I might give it away. I’ll have post-blocking pictures Monday.
Details:
Pattern: Trellis Scarf Spring ‘06 Interweave Knits
Yarn: Misti Lace weight Alpaca in blue
Needles: US3 Addi Turbos, which suck for lace but they’re the only size 3’s I have. The pattern called for 5’s, I just didn’t want it thatloose.
Would I knit it again? Not without pay. Seriously, I don’t do repetition well.
