I’m having problems getting the zipper in Mariah. It’s not a big deal, I just need more room and someone to help me keep it straight while I pin it in place. I’m recruiting my mom tonight to help me out and, hopefully, I’ll have it to show off tomorrow. Of course, it’s too warm here now for a sweater but I’m sure it will get cold again soon.
I’m on a scarf kick at the moment. I’ve never been big on scarves, I don’t wear them much and I usually get bored knitting them, but I want quick stuff to make and scarves are good for that. I’m making Wavy from Knitty in bright Turquoise Wool-Ease (it’s about this color, only more blue), that I got free, and it rocks. I keep thinking about how great it will look with Mariah, the turquoise against the black and all the texture in both of them.
I also want to make Bob and Weave from Knitty, I’m just trying to think of a pretty, cheap yarn to make it out of.
And I’m going to make the paisley shawl from the Spring ‘05 IK as soon as I’m either done with or bored with wavy.
I have lots of plans and am going to spend tomorrow ripping some old things, sketching, swatching, fun stuff like that. The juices are flowing.
