I’m having my monthly bout of insomnia right now, I’ve had two hours of sleep in the past twenty-four, so I’m not entirely coherent right now. One good thing does come out of not sleeping, though, and that is lots and lots of knitting time. I knit five inches on Mariah’s hood and about a quarter of the foot of my spiral sock. And I’m all caught up on episodes of Carnivàle, which is one of my new favorite shows, even if I’ve missed a few episodes and am completely lost, it’s just a great, weird show (and this is coming from someone who rarely watches TV).
I’m formulating ideas for a couple designs, a crocheted purse and another kids sweater (I may have at least one order coming in for a cardigan like the last one I made). And, apparently, hand knit scarves are a huge thing locally so I’m trying to talk my parents into funding some novelty yarn so I can knit some light springy ones to sell. There are many ideas in the brewing stage and I just hope they work out. I’ll think about it more later, after I’ve had some sleep.
I’ve been jumping around working on projects like a ping pong ball. I haven’t been goin to bed until about 2 am and worked on the sock. I estimated that if I knit two 4 row units that I can get the sock done in 20 days. Hmmmm, lets see if I can stick to that plan. Leave it to seniors to come up with knitted food. See what we get to look forward to. We are going to get to play when we get older and start reliving our second child hood. I can’t wait. : )
