Moving Right Along

With Mariah, that is.  I’ve started the hood and things are going good.  I laid the sweater out today (to take a picture of it, just for you but it looks like a big black lump so I’m not posting it) and I don’t know what I was so worried about.  Just as I thought, it looks great.  I should note that I forgot to do the edge stitches in garter stitch so I’m going to pick up stitches around the fronts and do two rows of garter for a zipper facing.  I’m so used to working my selvidge stitches in stockinette that I didn’t even realize the pattern said to do them in garter stitch.

I’m still formulating ideas for my next project.  I’m thinking about taking the gray sport weight wool that I have and modifing the Sidways Spencer pattern from the Fall Ik to work with it.  I really like that sweater but I’m too cheap to buy yarn right now.

I do have some ideas for the blue yarn (also sport weight).  I’m thinking of a pullover with cables at the sleeve cuffs and sides like Rogue, just without the hood.  Or not.  I don’t know.
