Roving

Got some new roving Saturday.  This is from Paradise Fibers, 8oz. of hand painted 60% wool, 25% mohair, 15% nylon (they call it their barefoot blend), in October.  I’ll be spinning this up, making it three ply, and knitting some socks.  It is beautiful and incredibly soft.  I can’t wait until I have a chance to play with it.  Thanks again, James, for the gift certificate!

The focus today has been baking a devil’s food cake but in between mixing (by hand, we don’t have a mixer), baking, and frosting, I’ve been knitting on Mariah.  I have five rows left on the yoke and then I get to start the hood.  Looks like I’ll be able to finish the knitting on it this week.

I’m still not sure what I’m going to knit next.  I have tons of gray and blue sport weight yarn and I’ll probably design something for it.  I just haven’t decided yet.
